Tried the new AI Flashcards feature to drill DSA concepts — quick review

Saw the new Flashcards feature on the dashboard and figured I'd try it before my next round instead of just rereading my old notes. Sharing how it went since I hadn't seen anyone mention it here yet.

Setting it up

Described what I wanted — "core DSA concepts for a mid-level SWE interview, arrays/trees/graphs/complexity analysis" — picked 30 cards, paid, and had a full deck in about a minute. Cards were genuinely relevant, not generic "what is a variable" filler stuff.

The rating thing threw me off at first

Didn't expect a 5-point scale (Blank/Hard/Shaky/Good/Instant) instead of just right/wrong. Took a session or two to stop being generous with myself and actually rate honestly, but once I did it got a lot more useful — a bunch of stuff I'd have called "knew it" was actually more of a "Shaky."

The reordering is the actual feature

Second time studying the same deck, the cards I rated worst came up first automatically. By the third session it felt like it had built me a personalized "these are your actual weak spots" list instead of me re-drilling the whole deck top to bottom every time. Wasn't expecting that to matter as much as it did.

Where it doesn't replace anything

Still did a full AI Mock Interview after a few days of this — recall and actually explaining something out loud under a bit of pressure are different skills, this didn't replace that, just made the "do I actually know this" part faster to check.

Anyone else tried it yet? Curious what topics people are generating decks for.
