Sanviora ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Sanviora:

• Account data: Email address and hashed password when you register.
• Profile data: Full name, phone number, current skills, and career interests — provided voluntarily during onboarding.
• Interview data: Your answers to interview questions and AI-generated feedback reports.
• Payment data: Payment status and order identifiers. We do not store card or bank details — these are handled entirely by Razorpay.
• Usage data: Basic request logs including IP address and browser type for security and debugging.
• Analytics & advertising data: Pages viewed, interactions, and device/browser information, collected via the tools listed in Section 4 — see that section for what each one does.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the interview practice service.
• To personalise your experience and suggest relevant interview tracks.
• To process payments and deliver your feedback report.
• To send important service updates at all times, and promotional/marketing emails (tips, offers, product updates) only if you've opted in — you choose this explicitly when you create an account, and can withdraw it anytime via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or from your profile settings.
• To analyse aggregate usage patterns to improve the platform, and to measure and (where you haven't opted out of the relevant tool) show you relevant advertising for Sanviora on other sites — see Section 4.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a SQLite database on a secured AWS EC2 server located in India. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Passwords stored as bcrypt hashes (never in plain text).
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
• JWT tokens for session authentication.
• Server access restricted by SSH key only.

Despite these measures, no online service is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

• Razorpay: Processes payments. Your payment details are governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI: Provides the AI model that analyses your interview responses (including transcribing voice answers). Interview content is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. Per OpenAI's API data usage policy, content submitted through the API is not used to train their models. Governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics (GA4): Measures how visitors use the site (pages viewed, interactions) so we can improve it.
• Google Ads conversion tracking & remarketing: Lets us measure ad performance and show you Sanviora ads on other sites you visit, based on your activity here. You can opt out via Google Ads Settings or your browser's ad-personalisation controls.
• Meta Pixel: Similarly used to measure and show Sanviora ads on Facebook/Instagram. You can control this via Meta's Ad Preferences.
• Contentsquare: Records anonymised session replays and heatmaps of how visitors use the site, to help us find and fix usability problems.
• Google Fonts: Font files are loaded from Google's CDN.

We do not sell or trade your personal data. The tools above may process usage/device data for the analytics and advertising purposes described; we do not share your interview answers, reports, or account credentials with any of them.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Interview reports are stored to allow you to access them later. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us (see Section 7).

6. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (including marketing emails and ad personalisation, see Sections 2 and 4).
• Lodge a grievance — see Section 8 for how to reach us; we aim to acknowledge and resolve privacy requests within a reasonable time.

7. Guest / Anonymous Users

You can practise a mock interview, and — for our paid practice modes — pay for one, without creating an account. In that case we do not collect your name, email, or any other identifying information at the time of payment; the transaction is recorded against the payment itself, not a person. If you later choose to create a free account to save your report, that report and payment record are then linked to your new account. If you never create an account, no persistent profile is ever built from that anonymous session beyond what's needed for security/fraud prevention and to generate the report itself.
