Biology is half the paper. Here is how to prepare it properly, keep Physics and Chemistry from dragging your score down, and use mocks well.

Botany and Zoology together carry 360 of the 720 marks.
The other half, and where many students lose the most marks.
+4 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong one.
Especially Biology, often down to specific lines and diagrams.
Always confirm the current year's pattern, syllabus and dates in the official NTA information bulletin. Sanviora is an independent practice platform, not affiliated with the NTA.
Read the NCERT Biology text line by line at least twice, and pay attention to diagrams, examples and tables. Genetics, human physiology, plant physiology, ecology and reproduction deserve extra time. Test yourself topic by topic right after studying each chapter. Recall is what the exam checks, not recognition.
Physics is where many NEET aspirants lose the most marks. Focus on formula-based chapters (mechanics, electricity, optics, modern physics) and do a set of numericals every day. Leave long derivation-heavy questions for the second pass in the exam.
Inorganic and much of organic chemistry reward NCERT revision. Physical chemistry needs numerical practice. A strong Chemistry score often makes up for a weaker Physics one.
Early on, lean on topic-wise tests. Later, shift to full mocks for stamina and time management. Review only wrong answers and guesses in detail, label each cause (concept, careless, time or guess), and turn the concept gaps into next week's revision list. See topic-wise vs full mocks for NEET Biology.
Sanviora's NEET section has full mock tests in the real pattern and marking, and subject and topic tests where you choose exactly which Botany or Zoology chapters to practise. Every paper ends with a question-by-question review, and your wrong answers can become an AI Flashcards deck.
NEET UG is marked out of 720, with Biology (Botany and Zoology) making up 360 of those marks. Each correct answer earns +4 and each wrong answer costs −1. Confirm the current year's pattern in the official bulletin.
NCERT is the foundation, and many questions come directly from its text, diagrams and examples. Most toppers read it thoroughly several times, then use practice questions to test recall.
Take mocks regularly but spend proper time reviewing them. Focus on wrong answers and guesses, label why each went wrong, and turn concept gaps into targeted topic tests the following week.
Full mocks plus chapter-wise Botany and Zoology tests, with a detailed review after every paper.
